Is it beneficial to lift weights 6 times a week if I want?
A man in his 30s giving older people exercise advice? He hasn't even experienced the problems older people face when their bodies change.
Four meals per day, eat high carb? You are full of bs.
I'm 50 and workout 6-7 times a week. Doing just fine!
56 years here! I DON'T do full body sessions! Why should I? I have leg day, back day, chest day and I am growing. Nonsense.
Just turned 56 yesterday and still working out at the gym 4-5 days a week 1 hour plus, 1 thing that I have learned, is most important tome and I feel needs to be added is stretching! If I don’t stretch I end up pulling or hurting something.
I am 50. I started working out over a year ago. You can workout like 20 year old men do as long as you have the right nutrition. Fat is really important to building muscle. The key is a high fat and protein diet like carnivore but you want to get some carbs (low carbs) and from things like dairy and fruit. Eat more of your fat earlier in day and before working out or if you go early morning workout in a fast, go more fat around the afternoon. Post workout you should eat some fruit & dairy with your 40 grams of protein … make it lean protein. I eat 4-6 eggs every day fatty meats like hamburger & pork and lean meats like fishes and chicken. I rarely eat vegetables. I take electrolytes and supplement magnesium and creatine. Water, water water, sleep, sleep, sleep. I basically changed my life around and my blood work and liver panel is better than when I was in my 20's. I made myself look younger than 30 again. Although I agree with him about the recovery time, you can do exercises the same way a 20 year old does but you want to be careful and do good warm up before hand. Don't get obsessed with being ripped … there are more things in life to enjoy along with working out.
The queer guy is wearing his favourite pink T shirt. Is this a women's workout video??
Thank you
Talk too much
I m 52. Thinking of attracting everyone with my body building. Wish me friend s. Starting from today
Amazing video, thank you very much for all that helpful information. God bless!
Get a new thumbnail. That dude is clearly not natural.
That's great if you can afford it. What can you do if you can't?
Thanks for the video. However, I couldn't disagree more with principle no. 1. Compound movements are technically more difficult, often more dangerous for joints weakened by age, and less effective for muscle hypertrophy than isolation exercises. Whatever the muscles involved in a polyarticular exercise, they do not work equally, and some will develop more than others, causing inbalances; and even the most involved muscles get less stimulation that in isolation exercises. Apart from saving time, I don't see the point of compound movements for efficient muscular hypertrophy, especially for people growing older like me. My goal is hypertrophy, I am 50 and I don’t have time to lose with compound movements.
Started lifting again, now in my 50s. Found more recovery time is needed. Instead of 1, take 2 of rest. Double that for legs.
It ain't about building muscle. it's about doing all the physical things that you were always capable of. This guy is not your guy.
What about people with insulin resistance on intermittent fasting? I’m doing 18/6 @ 2 – 3 meals daily. Sometimes 24/1. I’m taking trace minerals, herbs, and nutritional supplements including creatine. I need to gain muscle and keep fat levels down. I’m down to 20% body fat. 5’8” 140 pounds.
Just wonder what you're gonna do when you are 70 ?
Let's get one thing straight young man, you have NOT helped 10k guys get into shape. Just say you have helped quite a lot of people but you do not have time to help 10k guys directly, so lets get that nonsense cleared up.
