Anyone can undergo hypertrophy; any man, any post menopausal women, child, etc. Of course, during one's life…due to injuries, age (high or low age), nutritional status….gains will be higher coming or lower. One can't eat "processed foods" and ever expect to make "serious gains" as we need protein and fats to grow.
Who knows how many exogenous (outside the body) carbohydrates a man, woman or child actually needs? Foods like: Cheerios, Frosted Flakes, bread/toast/pastas/rolls/sugar ? How many of these foods does one need for optimal or even decent health?
Answer: NONE! Neither anatomically, physiologically or spiritually. Carb loading, eating, grams needed per day….blah blah is just a myth perpetuated by the Kellogg's Corporation and famous deceased doctors like; Dr. Ansel Keys.
Do some research…stop eating ALL processed foods…no amount of "circuit training/lifting/running, etc."….can OUTRUN poor nutrition. Period.
The guy in this video is only 60 years old; not old by genetic standards…we're meant to live to 120 years; if we reach our genetic potentials.
Nice video Mark.
Try a air filled ball to lean on
Love this guy ❤ he always makes sense
Good training. And I see he has some whiskey on the counter in the background. LOL
Talk too much
hi Mark, thanks for the information. i never did weights before so do i do this routine every day?
Should I do these exercises everyday ? or 4 days a week ? Thank you
I'm 57 years old had hip replacement 2 hernias and active job but since having a high cholesterol and a bit of weight I've been looking at different exercise routines and can't do them to long and don't want to go to gym want something that will suit me and I've finally found it that u so much
He's all shoulders! No leg work?
Awesome!! That looks like a great set of exercises to do in the living room! My wife started a new job and my new Mr. Mom role is making it hard for me to get to the gym.
Is this a daily exercise routine Mark??
Thanks Mark. You are inspiring this 63 year old
Hey Mark, where are you training now that Golds-Burnet has been demolished?
Lateral raises are terrible for shoulders with any arthritis or impingement
Mark, about what dumbell weight do you suggest for a start? I'm a 66 year old novice/intermediate guy. I was heavy into power lifting and body building in my teens and 20's but now my goals are health and fitness.
Finally a friendly coach without the crazy ego to bore you to.pieces.
I can't help not watching this guy. All I hear is George Bush.
Make a small circle with a light weight to warm up shoulders.
Push up sit up squat stretch out walk a few miles a day. Do the chores around the house. Eat good quality foods. You’ll be fine. People are funny . They buy the best gasoline and oils for there vehicles but suck down junk foods. Hey Mark you reminded me of Jack LaLanne. 😂😂😂
Good 👍
Who are you training a 90 year old woman
If I worked out like this I will lose everything I got within months
Ok 💪
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video. I am 61 years old and have lost 92 lbs in the past year by eliminating added sugars and keeping daily carbs intake to less than 120 grams. I am 6’0” and currently weighing 202 lbs. Unfortunately, the weight loss also resulted in muscle loss. This exercise circuit is great for me.
look like Bush Junior. 🤣
Did you say “ you need to catch your breath “ ????
Good workout.
Hey Mark, I just want to say thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm a very busy person myself and I need to find time to do things that are important to me that takes priority. Again, thank you and greatly appreciate it.
Thank you so much😍
Thanks, Mark,
Share with everyone how many drugs you are on.
Excellent workout video.
How many times per week should we train with this routine?
Would you suggest a muscle warmup exercise prior to doing these weight lifting circuits, like perhaps jumping jacks, just to get the blood moving throughout the body and especially to the muscle groups? I have heard that working out cold can lead to injuries. I do love how you explain everything through this short circuit workout…the length of rest and what it should be like, the proper form through the movements…you don’t leave much of anything open or left to questions!
Can we organise a whip round to buy him a new chair at least? It looks like a barn find…🙄
Old George Bush Jr. timer on ROIDS. 😬
Stay off drugs kids. 👍 👮🏿
Is upperbodyexercises more important than leg – and backexercises ?
1. Gobbet squat
2. Bench press
3. Curls
4. Shoulder press or flies
5. Bicycle cross crunch
6. Tricep press (skull crusher)
7. Bend over rows.
turned 60 in July. In the gym off and on since i joined the Army at 18. Have to say that my muscle gains are very difficult and require HIIT level intensity…. changing the workout constantly is important since our bodies are designed to adapt QUICKLY!
this guy talks to much. he is love with making himself accessible. most of what he says is boring redundancy
I love your stuff. You’re a great teacher and motivator. Thanks Mark!
Forget all isolated exercises. Learn to do Swings and Turkish Get Ups (TGU) with a Kettlebell. Only two exercises for a full Body training. The swings make your heart from fluid steel and an unbreakable back. TGU gives you incredible overall strength. I am 67y now, startet with 12kg 5 years ago and with only the two exercises, called simple and sinister from Pavel Tsatsouline slowly increased the weight to 36kg now. Takes you up to 45-60 Minutes. At the beginning up to 32kg nearly daily, then 2-3 times a week. Otherwise start with the old school exercises, Pullups, Pushups and Squats. thats enough. And, very important, stop drinking any alcohol will change your live a lot more.
Best regards
