You got a routine for maces? I saw a YouTube video about training with a sledgehammer, and well, I bought a sledgehammer. I’ve been doing the cool upper body stuff, but it would be cool to get your take on it.
DavidDude. Just "discovered" your channel this morning and am selecting individual shorts to a folder, such that I can add your various FLEXY TRAINING to my daily/weekly protocols.
I've wanted to improve my mobility/squats/ability to get up off the ground as ~ for the combination of an absence of specific training and a decades long debilitating mobility/chronic pain issue ~ which understandably diminished such abilities….but thus far I had not found such SIMPLE well described PROTOCOLS to improve my present strength and move forward towards improvement.
Relatively recently I sought out a therapist for an unrelated issue (a flare up of severe benign positional vertigo which is curable in one session if the therapist is trained in a specific treatment…who thereafter helped me with my facial nerve pain, chronic migraines and the chronic pain due to a serious injury when I was 18…and she successfully adjusted my spine and pelvis such that the mechanical abnormality "stuck" rather than immediately popping out (as it did each and every time I was forceably "snapped" into correct alignment. She EASED my body into the "normal" position…and it REMAINED aligned. I thereafter EXERCIZED and STRENGTHENED my muscles…in this normal position…and eventually…I helped fix this chronic injury.
I sought hard SCIENCE to aid me in my goals…and my greatest improvements have been gained by the specific protocols shared in the Huberman Lab Podcasts, which has educated and informed me (a 62 year old woman) to the importance of GRIP strength, strength, flexibility, VO2 Max, [and other goals which increase one's HEALTHSPAN] as well as the benefits of asymmetrical load…
Seeing this video…I ordered myself a light MACE from the company you mentioned (which will not be delivered until late September)…as I know from experience…I will enjoy such training as you have shared.
Thank you.
One needs specific exercises and you have illustrated these so SUCCINCTLY and with such positive energy and passion…as well as humour.
David congratulations on the kid just started watching your channel and it’s helped a lot, when I was in jail I would do burpees and etc but never understood the true meaning of flexibility health. Keep your head up tall you help a variety of different people everyday!
Be careful of your ‘Labrum’ extreme hip rotation can aggravate the cartilage seal around your pelvic hip joint socket & could tear!. This is a nightmare to fix & takes many months to heal if surgery isn’t needed due to poor blood supply… Always have an MRI of your body as the years go by, I was shocked to find wear I didn’t expect. So have fun but be AWARE OF TIME.:-)..

You should do like 30 minute videos of strength training moves/stretched like a yoga video. I’d definitely incorporate it to my daily routine👍🏼
Get plenty of Cologne Protein in your diet for your tendons. And natural glucosamine. I wish I knew this when I was younger.
Indian bodybuilding has a lot of mase exercises.
