Hey guys! So I don't normally ask you to share my content, but with all the misinformation on youtube on this topic versus the science and expert-analysis presented in this video, I think it would likely help a lot of people cut through some of the noise if it got shared around. If there's anyone you know getting fooled by the "one special trick" for fat loss, please show them this video and please feel free to share it wherever you have a voice! My guests and I would all greatly appreciate getting the word out about the things that ACTUALLY matter!! Hope you're all doing well! See you again soon!
If I work, like in a factory, I’m moving all day, not very fast not slow at all pace, on my feet the whole day, making filters the size my torso, I’m 5”10 tall, I’m I burning fat by working there 8hrs a day? Thanks
ive come down to 174lbs (im 6ft and lift weights) and I was fucking skinny bro. shredded as fawk but skinny as fuck man. like you ONLY look good when ur shirt is off and the sun is out, otherwise u look disgusting. its also not maintainable. the photo of the dude from 194lbs to 171lbs reminded me of me. The best look is 185lbs-181lbs, im assuming thats 12%BF. It looks the best in my opinion.
cals in vs cals out people lets not complicate it
Thanks Jeff!
2:12 lmao if you’re high in body fat then try to get 1g of protein per cm in height like bro It’s still a lot of protein idk how ppl reach those levels of protein especially when I’m trying to lose weight
What all of them seem to forget is that Calories Ingested =! Calories Absorbed. Some types of foods (e.g highly processed) are almost fully absorbed, whereas some (e.g. certain types of raw food, different types of nuts, etc) can be for example 10% not absorbed at all. Add to the fact that nutritional labels have been shown in studies to have up to 20% variance and not be that accurate (definitely depends on the type of food though), the fundamentals of "counting calories" go out the window – unless you are consistently eating the same or similar types of foods. Otherwise "a calorie is a calorie" does not make sense, because it's actually "a calorie absorbed is a calorie absorbed", which you can't really track unless you're consistent or have a metabolic lab on hand.
Jeff, what was that app you used for scanning the URL and having it show it’s nutrition facts? Looks extremely helpful
Wow! Strategies to get shredded.
Despite not really being big into this type of stuff (just your average schmo with average schmo goals), I find your content easy to follow and useful. I like how succinct it is.

This video legit changed my life and put me on the right path. I went from 30% body fat to 12% body fat in 8 months. Tracking macros, weighting my food putting my snacks away.. doing cardio mixing low intensity to high intensity.. this video is like the holy grail to losing fat

At the end of the day, hitting your protien targert and hitting your calorie target really determines your diet
Can a obese people of 113 kg can lose 16 pounds the first month and 10 pound the second without losing muscle?

Excellent!!
Awesome content. Very thoughtful and top notch. Keep it up. Been really struggling with this topic and seeking out guidance to get to goals. Motivated AF on this.
Constantly cutting to a shirtless guy flexing or working out makes these impossible to watch in public 😅
While I am a big fan of your content, I believe you are mistaken in continuing to push the calorie in vs calorie out formula for fat loss when in comes to processed sugar. Dr, Lustig, like yourself, uses a data based approach. He has shown how processed sugar can be moved into fat cells BEFORE you have a chance to burn it requiring you to eat more to meet basic needs. I would love to see your take on both processed sugar and artificial sweeteners on fat loss goals. I have personally seen a large fat loss just by minimizing added sugar (and alcohol).
